What is the Greenhouse Effect?
When sunlight or greenhouse gases enter a planet's atmosphere, the thickness and it's chemical composition can prevent heat from escaping back to space, making Earth's atmosphere to get warmer.
What are Greenhouse Gases?
They are gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect by absorbing infrared radiation, or carbon dioxide.
How does it affect the environment?
Greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, accumulate in Earth's atmosphere causing it to warm up. These accumulating gases allow the sun's radiation to enter Earth's atmosphere, but prevent it from escaping back to scape. This is harmful because mus be able to release it's radiant energy so as not to overheat. The increase in temperature could create changes in the world's climatic changes and harm our wild life.
